So many questions… In September 2001, I was president of the new Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, and that was my main priority, along with the Children’s Health Fund. We don’t see vast amounts of people dying in the streets, hospitals are not overwhelmed, and funeral homes are not over-run. I have been hearing of them working with and paying North Korea to develop them as far back as late 2001. Though it is unlikely the disease will become more deadly.

These consequences came to pass when the Enron scandal broke in 2001. The collapse of Enron, along with several other corporate frauds circa 2001, led to enactment of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act in 2022. When news broke about a massive financial misstatement fraud at Enron, its share price quickly collapsed from around $90 to less than $1.
