My own opinion is that if you are a B2C organisation and hold lots of external personal data, you have to declare it so those whose data you hold are aware of it. Funky Pigeon, the internet card and gift company, had a cyber incident. We were talking on the course about whether organisations should admit to a cyber attack.

Today I’m going heavy-duty and writing the bulletin about the media response of Amedia AS, a Norwegian print and internet news organisation. Conclusion When you provide B2C services and have a large public customer base, you cannot hide a cyber incident. If they regularly reuse passwords, then they need to be informed to change them.
