What Are Your Big Challenges With Disaster Response?

Two were identified.

OK, this is a marketing type of deal from OnSolve, but I figured it would be worth sharing with you:

“What are the major challenges your organization faces with critical event management today? This question was posed to 469 risk, security, and business continuity decision-makers as part of a commissioned study by Forrester Consulting on behalf of OnSolve.

“Every respondent - 100% - experienced a challenge with critical event management. The top two struggles?

1. Quickly identifying critical events

2. Getting employees to respond quickly and consistently

“A poor response hurts your revenue performance, disrupts operations, puts employees at risk and can even result in regulatory fines.

“If your organization is dealing with the same issues, read the study and discover what you need for proactive and effective critical event management.”

I’m sure the study link they have will get your contact information in order to access it — so, no link. Sorry!

I’m in agreement with the idea of maintaining situational awareness. You can’t respond if you don’t know what is happening, where it is happening, when it started to happen, and if it is still happening.

On the security side of things, notifications are key to getting the right people to respond. You can say the same for emergency management too.
