Bikes and Planes to Aid in Earthquake Response

As I’ve reported here in this blog in recent months, it will likely require the restoration of the “marine highway,” meaning ship cargo traffic coming into Puget Sound, to get the logistics system working in the early stages of a Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake recovery.

That is not to say that we don’t need all forms of transportation, be they small planes, bicyclists and foot messengers all doing their part.

If we could get everyone to do the same from where they live with what they have, we’d be much better prepared. For instance, it might be critical lifesaving medicines that get transported to those in need.
