Virtual Workshop on First Responder Resilience and Behavioral Health

The stresses of COVID-19 have impacted first responders.

You have to put this one in the bucket of “not everything in life is free!” Burnout is real across many professions. The great teacher resignation is one of them.

If you want to get a taste for Dr. Mauseth, I did a Disaster Zone podcast with her earlier this year. You can check out this podcast: “Dealing with Pandemic Mental Health Stress.”

See details below on the workshop.

Northeastern University Bouvé College and Northeastern Seattle will be hosting a virtual workshop on First Responder Resilience and Behavioral Health

First responders experience unprecedented levels of stress in their daily professional and personal lives. These stresses have increased in recent times, due to risks to their health associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to the incidences of social unrest throughout the country. Caring for others has always carried a risk of fatigue and burnout, and that risk has been exacerbated at the current time.

This is a three-part workshop series which will provide participants with the opportunity to learn more about the unique factors that impact behavioral health for responders, and a set of tools and strategies to manage and grow from the challenges inherent in the work.
