Wildfire Risks and Lack of Readiness to Coming to the Surface in Washington State

I’ve been writing and blogging about wildfire and other hazard insurance for some time, and here is an example of what is playing out in the West: “How wildfire risk scoring puts WA homeowners in insurance jeopardy.”

Washington state has not had the catastrophic loss of homes and businesses that states like California and Oregon have experienced. Therefore, the insurance issue has not bubbled up to be a priority — but it is coming for sure.
