FEMA Designates Community Disaster Resilience Zones

Another new program!

My only exposure to this program was a conference call that sought input on the idea of establishing this new program. So, I’m not an expert by any means.

See FEMA’s Community Disaster Resilience Zones. Will it be the next best thing since sliced bread? I don’t know. Where should you put your priorities? On individual and community preparedness? Building Resilient Infrastructure Communities (BRIC); incorporating private-sector partnerships into your program; training the people who respond to the emergency operations center (EOC) during disasters; upgrading your facility; recruiting and hiring new staff; updating your disaster response plan; updating your hazard mitigation plan; making sure your hazardous materials, Tier II reports are accurate and complete ... etc.?

Or, should you be updating your resumé since you can’t seem to be all things to all people — not enough hours in the day!
