Disaster Zone Podcast: Public-Private Partnerships for Disaster Resilience

Disaster resilience starts with relationships and trust.

It is not easy to develop and maintain partnerships between the public and private sectors. One organization that has that as part of its core mission and efforts is the Pacific Northwest Economic Region (PNWER).

To learn more about that organization and how they focus their work efforts, listen to this Disaster Zone Podcast: Public-Private Partnerships for Disaster Resilience

A fuller description of the podcast is below:

The Pacific Northwest Economic Region (PNWER) is very unique in that it is multi-national, public-private and bi-partisan in how it is organized and operates on a day-to-day basis. One organizational element of PNWER is its Center for Regional Disaster Resilience (CRDR) [Note: the Disaster Zone Podcast Host, Eric Holdeman is the Director]. In this podcast Matt Morrison, the Executive Director of PNWER is interviewed about how PNWER is organized and then we transition to talking about public private partnerships, critical infrastructures and how to keep those relationships functional. During the podcast we also touched on the Regional Consortium Coordinating Council (RC3) and how it functions at the national level.
