GPT-4 More Progress

The march toward artificial intelligence (AI) continues.

If you are like me, sometimes you dial into progress being made in one area of technology and then there are other areas that you’ve never delved into. For instance, that would be bitcoin for myself, other than I did note that a $10 investment years ago in bitcoin was worth $60,000 at its peak. Not bad!

I have, however, been following ChatGPT and now GPT-4.

I don’t think it has replaced “sliced bread” as the biggest innovation to hit our culture and the world, but it does exemplify what is going on with artificial intelligence (AI). This is one we should not take our eyes off of as we move forward. AI has tremendous potential to help us with disaster mitigation and I think response and recovery. The uses for disaster preparedness are not as clear to me now, but there will have to be applications that we can use.
