What’s new in Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud – September 2022

Acronis
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud
for service providers

Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud enables you to protect client data by preventing cyberattacks, rapidly recovering their data, managing workloads, minimizing downtime and closing security gaps.

However, for years, there have been other threats that have crippled organizations of all sizes — including sensitive data leaks due to internal risks or external attacks, which can lead to embarrassing headlines, reputational damage, loss of business, partner churn and costly regulatory fines for your clients.

Drawing from decades of innovation in data protection and our vast experience of empowering service providers to continuously protect client data, our September 2022 update (version 22.09) extends Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud’s capabilities to protect sensitive data against exfiltration with Advanced DLP General Availability. Now, you can expand your portfolio with a data loss prevention (DLP) service that protects sensitive client data against leakage and strengthens compliance. Aided by automatic, behavior-based DLP policy creation and extension, you can save time, maximize the cost to value ratio and boost profits by unlocking unique simplification and scalability.

Of course, we don’t stop there. This month’s highlights also include:

Advanced Security pack: Firewall management for Microsoft Defender

With the September update, the Advanced Security pack for Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud enables you to reduce the attack surface of your client workloads by enabling Microsoft Defender Firewall in the protection plan and receiving prompt alerts in the event the firewall is accidentally turned off. You can also effortlessly configure Microsoft Defender Firewall on your managed devices with the recently launched Cyber Scripting functionality in the Advanced Management pack.

Advanced Email Security pack: Improved license usage measuring

With standardized license usage measuring methods for the Advanced Email Security pack, you can now improve billing accuracy and predictability. In cases where the auto-measuring method is not applicable (e.g., protecting a portion of the users within a domain only), you can manually adjust and manage licenses and eliminate the need to contact support every time a license usage needs to be adjusted.

Acronis Cyber Files Cloud: Fast and efficient local synchronization

You no longer need to download the entirety of your data from the cloud when moving or copying local files and folders with Acronis Cyber Files Cloud. Changes in client files and folders are directly synchronized on the local machine, increasing bandwidth and saving time and system resources.

Acronis Cyber Files Cloud available in Turkish

Provide an improved experience for your clients, increase usability, and make Acronis Cyber Files Cloud more convenient to use. Also, the user interface is now available in Turkish, making that the fifteenth supported language in the product.

Unified integrations catalog in Acronis’ console and website

The ISV integrations list has been redesigned to improve consistency and provide the same user experience whether you’re accessing the Acronis website or the management portal. Benefit from a single, unified list of integrations with simultaneous content updates.

Last but not least, Acronis Acronis Academy and the Acronis support team have created a series of “Quick Tips” videos that cover the most frequently asked questions about Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud. Eliminate the need to contact support and find quick solutions to the most common issues.
