Disaster Zone Podcast: ‘Becoming Prepared to Speak After a Disaster’

To be ready to speak to the media requires preparation up front.

Many people are fearful of speaking to the media. I think most of that fear comes from a lack of preparedness on their part. This is a great Disaster Zone podcast: “Becoming Prepared to Speak After a Disaster.”

Even if you feel as though your role is not in speaking to the media, as you move up in an organization it is likely that at some point in the future you will have that responsibility. Now is the time to start your learning.

On the other hand, perhaps you, like myself, have been talking to the media all along. To you I say, like myself, we can always learn something, and life is a learning game.
