Exciting new features available in Acronis Cyber Infrastructure 5.1

Acronis
Acronis Cyber Infrastructure

Acronis Cyber Infrastructure is an easy-to-use, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective hyperconverged infrastructure solution for cyber protection. Running on either commodity servers or Acronis Cyber Infrastructure appliances, it converts hardware into an easily manageable pool of storage resources. Providing file, block, and object storage, the solution supports multiple simultaneous use cases — including backup data storage and disaster recovery.

Acronis has announced some exciting new enhancements to Acronis Cyber Infrastructure 5.1 that will enable businesses to have a cloud-like experience on premises and service providers to provision cloud services for their clients.

Multiple backup storage registrations

Partners can register the same backup storage cluster to optimize their total cost of ownership (TCO) while providing services under different brands and legal entities. Or, they can use remote backup storage with multiple Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud / Acronis Cyber Protect management servers located in different data centers, partner tenants, or remote offices.

S3 management improvements in the user interface

The S3 service management interface has been redesigned to improve consistency and the user experience for partners.

Transport Layer Security (TLS) upgrade to version 1.2

Users can be sure that the latest data-in-transit encryption protocol and cyphers are used while working with Acronis Cyber Infrastructure. While users can manually switch to the previous version, doing so is NOT recommended, as connections to the backup storage will only be accepted from agents with the TLS 1.2 version to ensure compliance with specific regulations.

Production-ready compute services

Partners can now use compute services in production environments for hybrid disaster recovery scenarios with Acronis Cyber Protect or Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud. For all other cases, compute services are available for evaluation purposes only.

Acronis Cyber Infrastructure is optimized for Acronis cyber protection solutions, but can provide storage and protection for any workload. Businesses and partners can choose from any of 40+ data centers around the world, ensuring a local presence and compliance with local or regional regulations around data storage and privacy. And flexible licensing and scalability enable you to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) and pay only for the resources you’re using.
