Communications Specialist III (Risk Communications), Seattle, WA

A 32-hour-a-week job in public health.

What the COVID-19 pandemic did was accentuate the challenge of communicating disease information to people. This is the function for this position with the King County Public Health Department: communications specialist III (risk communications specialist).

The one item I highlighted above is that this is a 32-hour-a-week position. This is interesting in that it is the first time I’ve seen something like this advertised.

FYI, at least here in Washington state, if you work 30 hours or more a week you will get full benefits, medical and retirement.
