New Security Industry Association (SIA) member Intego Warranty, Inc., brings over 50 years of experience in providing extended service plans (ESPs) to the security industry. The company is headquartered in Palatka, Florida, and operates in all 50 states.

SIA spoke with David Anthony, president/owner of Intego Warranty, about the company, the security industry and working with SIA.

Tell us the story of your company.

David Anthony: Intego Warranty provides legal and compliant ESPs to the security system industry for consumer and commercial customers.

What solutions/services does your business offer in the security industry? And what makes your offerings or your company unique?

DA: Intego Warranty offers extended protection for residential and commercial security system equipment. Intego’s protection plan liabilities are 100% insured and backed by an AM Best A-Rated insurance carrier.

What is something we might not know about your company – or something new you are doing in security?

DA: Intego Warranty’s extended service plans are now available to be sold to the commercial customer as well as a residential consumer. We offer three- and five-year terms, as well as monthly.

What is your company’s vision, and what are your goals for the security industry?

DA: Intego Warranty’s first and foremost desire is to offer programs to increase customer satisfaction and retention. Our programs are also a fantastic profit center for the industry.

What do you think are the biggest opportunities in the security industry right now?

DA: Intego Warranty’s extended service plans are a value-add income stream for dealers/resellers in an ever-changing economy.

What are the biggest challenges facing your company and/or others in the security industry?

DA: The biggest challenge is educating the dealer/reseller on all the value-added income available by selling ESPs, as well as giving their clients peace of mind on their purchases.

What do you enjoy most about being at your company – and in the security industry?

DA: Intego Warranty has cutting-edge systems and enjoys keeping up with the “latest and greatest” technology. The security industry also follows that same line with their latest technology and the ever-growing enhancements available to the security industry.

What does SIA offer that is most important to you/your company? And what do you most hope to get out of your membership with SIA?

DA: SIA offers a dependable membership that takes pride in working with all different companies and what those companies offer to the security industry.  We hope to grow in relationships and knowledge of the overall product and industry.

How does your organization engage with SIA? What are your plans for involvement in the next year?

DA: We hope to attend multiple events in the coming year.
