Sebastian Malec: We are the European manufacturer of high-tech smart door locks – the most compact, strongest and fastest ever designed. The company is based in Warsaw, Poland, and was established in 2017.

The company connects two distant worlds: cutting-edge IT technology and classical mechanics.

Tedee has an experience in cloud-based software, design and manufacturing of the finest smart security products, including our most powerful, beautiful and secure smart lock.

The team consists of hardware, software, customer support and logistic experts responsible for the smoothest customer experience possible. Tedee combines the expertise of a cloud-based software house with over 35 years of Polish company – GERDA‘s experience in building door locks and hardware.

What solutions/services does your business offer in the security industry? And what makes your offerings or your company unique?

SM: The flagship product of Tedee is the Tedee PRO – a smart lock that stands out as the smallest, fastest and strongest of its kind. Its award-winning design, recognized by the IfDesign Award, speaks to its innovation and quality. What’s something we might not know about your company – or something new you’re doing in security?

SM: The roots of Tedee and the technology behind our products stem from GERDA, a door hardware manufacturer founded in 1987. For over 35 years, its products – including doors, locks, cylinders and more – have secured millions of European households. This heritage informs the mechanics and security expertise of everything we do. In essence, Tedee is a smart door hardware brand, made for locksmiths by locksmiths.

SM: At Tedee, our vision is clear: to put a smart lock on every door. Just as online banking was once met with skepticism but is now an integral part of everyday life, we believe smart locks will revolutionize the way people secure their homes.

Grzegorz Chuchra, CEO at Tedee, aptly compares smart locks to the early days of online banking, emphasizing that once people experience the convenience and security they provide, they won’t look back. Our goal is not only to promote the adoption of smart locks, but also to educate individuals about their benefits and security features. We strive to make high technology accessible and understandable for everyone, ensuring that smart locks become a standard in home security.

What do you think are the biggest opportunities in the security industry right now?

SM: In the security industry, particularly in the realm of smart locks, there are several significant opportunities for exploration:
