Ambassadors Wanted! Announcing the SIA Women in Security Forum Ambassador Program

WISF ambassadors will actively support local engagement with SIA’s Women in Security Forum. 

The SIA Women in Security Forum (WISF) is recruiting 10 volunteers to kick off the WISF Ambassador Program. Ambassador recruitment starts now for the launch announcement during ISC East 2023 in New York City. Strategically located across the United States, WISF Ambassadors will be integral in extending the relational reach and engaging our WISF members. 

WISF Ambassadors will:

  • Lead connecting with current and potential members through virtual and in-person personal outreach in their regions
  • Develop strategies and programs to increase member engagement in their regions – such as ad-hoc get-togethers, meetups and events
  • Provide insights to the WISF Steering Committee on feedback from the community regarding additional outreach and support
  • Promote and support WISF programs through social media and in-person networking in their regions
  • Work with SIA staff to leverage connections and collective action to achieve the goals of the SIA Women in Security Forum

Creativity, passion and follow-through networking, which is interpersonal, are the top attributes of an ambassador. The playbook for this localized outreach is open to what the ambassadors believe is the best approach to grow and network with women in the sphere of the security industry.

We ask that ambassadors:

  • Participate in up to two quarterly calls with the WISF membership committee
  • Attend major networking events at ISC West, ISC East and GSX, setting aside some time to meet with members and potential members, which will include time dedicated to the SIA WISF booth
  • Coordinate local regional get-togethers and meet-ups with other SIA WISF members
