DRI: 2023 Year in Review
In 2023, we celebrated our 35th year serving this exciting profession of service.
Because milestones are always a time for reflection, we’d like to dedicate this edition of our annual review to look back at some of the accomplishments of this venerable institution not just from this year but also to provide a review of all the various ways in which we support you every year.
We are grateful to have such a large and growing number of new entrants into the DRI community and aim to be inclusive and welcoming to all resilience professionals. We want to make sure you are aware of the many ways we work to support you and this growing community. We have certified 20,000+ resilience professionals across 110+ countries, at 95% of Fortune 100 companies, and 60% of the Global 2000.
2023 was the year in which we released the latest iteration of The Professional Practices for Business Continuity Management, the cornerstone of our work throughout the years. This extensive revision of substance, form, and function was undertaken as part of DRI’s ongoing efforts to maintain the relevance and utility of the Professional Practices. It also marks the release of a sparkling set of new educational materials for all our core continuity courses and also our specialties including cyber resilience, with these updates and more.
As we look to the next 35 years, DRI would like to mark 2024 as the year to learn and lead. It’s our commitment to you — from our conference theme through our expansion of resources, training opportunities and events both online and in person. Our goal is to help you be the resilient leaders of tomorrow and our mission is to provide you the learning tools to get there.
