  • Time is running out to attend the 2024 SIA GovSummit conference! Don’t miss your chance to convene in D.C. May 21-22 and connect with leaders, experts and decision makers focused on protecting government operations at all levels.
  • SIA has announced the launch of its new Veterans in Security Forum, a community focused on the issues and concerns of veterans and active military members who are in – or are interested in joining – the security industry. On May 20, the community will host a kickoff event in D.C.; learn more and sign up to attend here.
  • Also in the D.C. area: Join your fellow industry professionals at the next SIA National Capital Region Security Forum networking event! Security Industry Community Service Day 2024
  • SIA recently announced the first-ever Security Industry Community Service Day, a new initiative focused on community service projects. SIA encourages the whole industry to participate by giving back to the community when #SecurityGivesBack on June 7.

AcceleRISE 2024: Aug. 12-14 It's going to be monumental!
  • Got an idea to share? Speak at AcceleRISE! Help young professionals and rising stars in our industry grow, inspire and lead at this unique event happening Aug. 12-14 in Washington, D.C. Proposals are due May 14; get started here.
  • SIA has named four women biometrics leaders as the recipients of the 2024 SIA Women in Biometrics Awards, a globally recognized program presented by SIA with support from sponsor IDEMIA and organizational and media partners AVISIAN, Biometric Update and SIA’s Identity & Biometric Technology Advisory Board and Women in Security Forum. Congratulations to the honorees!
  • It’s time to register for the second annual Security LeadHER conference, an event created by SIA and ASIS International and designed to showcase women in security.
